Superannuation

It is a Commonwealth Government requirement for employers to pay an amount of money, for the employee, into an authorised superannuation fund.

The amount is calculated by multiplying the employee’s wages/salary by a specified percentage figure.

The percentage has been set under the Superannuation Guarantee legislation as follows:

2000/2001

8%
2001/2002 8%
2002/2003

9%
