Workers' compensation

Workers’ compensation is covered by separate State/Territory legislation. An employer is legally required to pay a percentage of the remuneration paid to employees (including superannuation), in order to assist to meet the costs involved with work related accidents and deaths.

That percentage is established by the claims record of the actual business and the "risk factor" associated with sector that the business operates within.
